Working with schools and churches to explore and share the Christian message
Synergy Christian Trust is a registered charity (No: 1081250) and an associate ministry of Scripture Union
Trevor and Ruth met whilst studying at Moorlands Bible College in 1988 and were married in 1990, just two weeks after their graduation. Ever since, Trevor has been employed in Christian youth and children’s work, first with Crusaders (now Urban Saints), then with The Evangelisation Society and since 2000, with Synergy. Trevor returned to Moorlands in 2005 to study part-time for a Masters Degree during which he took a particular interest in song-writing for children.
As well as providing administrative support for Synergy, Ruth is a Community Engagement Officer for Pilgrims’ Friend Society, a charity which provides care for the elderly but which also supports churches in their ministry to older people.
Since they moved to the Wiltshire town of Chippenham in 1994, they have been members of Sheldon Road Methodist Church, although Trevor is often leading services elsewhere on a Sunday. In their spare time both Trevor and Ruth love listening to music and visiting National Trust properties around the country.
Trevor and Ruth have two grown-up children; Samuel and Joanna.
Sam is an audiologist, working in a hospital in Manchester where he lives with his wife, Roopa. They worship at Grace Church in the city. Having completed her Music degree at Sheffield University, Jo is now studying for a Masters degree in Composing for Film and TV at Kingston University.
